Amyas Merivale

Front-End Curriculum Lead & Engineer at Skiller Whale

Amyas Merivale has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2008, they started as a Research Officer in Digital Humanities at Leeds University and worked there until 2011. From 2013 to 2014, they served as a Lecturer and Outreach Officer at Hertford College, University of Oxford. In 2014, they joined Lincoln College, University of Oxford, as a Lecturer and stayed there until 2016. During this time, they also worked as an Outreach Project Coordinator and Web Developer at the University of Oxford, Faculty of Philosophy from 2014 onwards. In 2015, they started freelancing as a Web Developer until 2020. Amyas worked as a Freelance Web Developer & Database Designer at Philo Ltd from 2016 to 2019. In 2020, they became a Senior Web Developer at Tweag, and since 2021, they have been working as a Front-End Curriculum Lead & Engineer at Skiller Whale.

Amyas Merivale completed their Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Mathematics & Philosophy at the University of Oxford from 2000 to 2004. Amyas then pursued postgraduate studies, obtaining a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in Philosophy from the same institution between 2005 and 2008. Following this, Amyas enrolled at the University of Leeds, where they undertook a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Philosophy from 2009 to 2014.
