Hywel Carver

Hywel Carver has a diverse and extensive work experience. Hywel started their career in 2009 as an MRes/PhD student at University College London, where they worked on computational simulation of neurovascular haemodynamics. After completing their PhD, they founded a company called Matopy in 2011, aimed at improving blind people's experience of the Internet. However, the company was unable to commercialize its product.

In 2012, Hywel became a Consulting Startup CTO at London Startup Tech, where they provided consultancy services to early-stage startups in London, helping them develop their ideas into products with paying customers. In 2013, they founded BridgeU with a co-founder and served as the CTO. Most recently, in 2018, they became the CEO of Skiller Whale, where they provide deep coaching for tech teams.
