Felix Spira has extensive work experience in the field of sustainability. Felix began their career in 2007 as a Peace Service Volunteer at Wahat al-Salam/Neve Shalom. In 2008, they became a Board Member of the Studentworkforce for Sustainability and Development and, in 2010, a Sustainability Project Coordinator & Co-founder of the Maastricht University Green Office. In 2014, they were a Junior Researcher at DRIFT for transition, where they developed a framework to better understand how sustainability initiatives scale their impacts. In 2012, they became the Executive Director & Co-founder of rootAbility, a social business that ignited a global movement of student-led sustainability offices. Most recently, in 2018, they became the Director Of Internal & Learning Operations at Skilllab, a company that develops an AI-driven career guidance software.
Felix Spira completed a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences at University College Maastricht from 2008 to 2012, graduating Summa Cum Laude. In 2010, they completed a semester abroad at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. In 2012, they earned an MSc in Environment, Science and Society from UCL, graduating with Distinction.
