Chief Executive Officer at Skills for Logistics

David Coombes has had a diverse range of roles and experiences in the logistics industry. David started their career as the Commercial Director at Norbert Dentressangle UK from 2002 to 2005. David then went on to found DBC Group Ltd in 2006, a successful logistics and supply chain recruitment business where they served as the Owner until 2018. In 2012, they became the Regional Chairman at The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK, and in 2014, they became the Distribution Sector Chairman at WEST OF ENGLAND LOCAL ENTERPRISE PARTNERSHIP LIMITED. In 2016, Coombes held several roles simultaneously, including Director at Skills for Logistics (2015) Ltd and Director at Logistics Job Shop Ltd. David also served as the Chief Executive Officer at Skills For Logistics and Peoplecare (Europe) Ltd during this time. In 2019, they became the Chief Executive Officer of The Skills Group Ltd, a holding company for three trading subsidiaries. Most recently, in 2020, Coombes became the Chairman of the Logistics Skills Network. Throughout their career, they have been dedicated to upskilling people and supporting the development of learners in the logistics sector.

David Coombes completed their MBA in Business at the Chartered Management Institute from 2000 to 2004.
