Skills Society
Skills Society is a not-for-profit organization based in Edmonton, Alberta whose vision is of a community where all individuals are valued citizens deserving respect, dignity and rights. People with disabilities need more than just services. We believe the people we support should have the opportunity to live full lives like any other citizen. Through our independent projects and those with our community partners, Skills Society aims to test new ideas and challenge old assumptions — pioneering better ways to value and include people with disabilities within the community and contribute to the growing body of knowledge around Social Innovation Research and Development within Canada. -- Skills Society provides supports to children and adults with developmental disabilities, survivors of acquired brain injury, and their families.
