Chandrakumar has worked for 25 years in the IT industry and has been active in skills development for the past 15 years.
From 2008 he was responsible for the implementation of the Swiss dual track VET model in India as Project Director of SVETII. Chandra completed his electronics engineering degree in 1974 and attended an Entrepreneurial Development Program at IIM, Bangalore in 2004. In 1988 he founded Linc Software, a global software company with offices in six countries which then merged with Mindtree in 2005.
Since 2006, Chandra has been involved with social entrepreneurship and angel investments. In 2007 he worked as an advisor to Labournet, which provides support to the unorganised sector. He currently focuses mostly on VET and, through SkillSonics, is planning to substantially contribute towards skilling India.
