Jayson Ward

Jayson Ward has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jayson most recently worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Skiptown since January 2023. Prior to that, they were a Staff Engineer at Blue Raster from January 2022 to January 2023. Jayson also worked as a Software Engineer at Wefunder from September 2021 to January 2022.

Before their recent roles, Jayson held positions such as Senior Software Engineer at Nearmap from January 2019 to August 2021 and Software Development Engineer at Esri from June 2016 to December 2018. Jayson also served as a Postgraduate Researcher at the University of New South Wales from January 2014 to May 2016 and as a Senior Engineer/Developer at Active Tree Services from March 2015 to October 2015.

Prior to that, they achieved a summa cum laude Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Studio Art from UC Irvine from 2008 to 2010. In 1996, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography (Urban Planning) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Jayson also pursued additional certifications throughout their career. In 2022, they obtained the ArcGIS API for JavaScript Specialty 19-001 certification from Esri. In 2021, they completed the Advanced Node.js: Scaling Applications course offered by LinkedIn. Additionally, they acquired several certifications related to web development and design, such as Learning Node.js, Web Security: OAuth and OpenID Connect, Designing RESTful APIs, Performing Complex State Management with Redux, React: Components, Context, and Accessibility, React: ES6, ES2016, and Beyond, Learning Redux, and React: Testing and Debugging. It is worth noting that Jayson also participated in the Shaping up with Angular.js course offered by Code School, but the specific dates of completion are not provided.
