Markus Wetzel

Markus Wetzel currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Board Member for Production and Logistics at Škoda Auto since October 2025. Prior to this role, Markus was a Development Engineer Tires at AUDI AG from March 2020 to September 2025, where responsibilities included developing tires for new Audi models while ensuring compliance with safety, comfort, driving dynamics, efficiency, and regulations. Additional experiences at AUDI AG include a master thesis focused on improving the ductility of high-strength aluminum alloys, an internship in project management for body parts, and participation in the Audi Graduate Program. Earlier, Markus was involved in design and development for the TU Darmstadt Racing Team and worked as a Product Engineer at Conductix-Wampfler Group, where technical support and customer-specific solutions were provided. Markus holds a Master of Science in Mechanical and Process Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University.
