Caroline Rothpfeffer

Caroline Rothpfeffer has extensive experience in sustainability and environmental management within the forestry sector. Currently serving as Huvudsekreterare at Regeringskansliet, Landsbygds- och infrastrukturdepartementet since May 2024, Caroline has also held the position of Kommunikations- och hållbarhetschef at Skogforsk since January 2019. Previous roles include Sustainability Manager at BillerudKorsnäs and Environmental Manager at Korsnäs AB. Additionally, Caroline managed forest operations at Holmen Skog AB and served as an Advisor in Forestry Policy at The Swedish Forest Industries Federation. Caroline's academic background includes a PhD in Forestry from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, where studies were conducted from September 2000 to April 2009 following an earlier degree at the same institution from 1994 to 1999.
