Doug Laird

Doug Laird is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in real estate and healthcare management. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors for Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield since May 2022, Doug has also held the position of Broker Associate at Skogman Realty since November 2001, specializing in commercial real estate brokerage, sales, leasing, and development. Doug’s previous roles include Chief Operations Officer and Vice President at Skogman Commercial Real Estate, where management of residential and commercial real estate agents and the commercial division were key responsibilities. Doug was also the Executive Director, President, and CEO at Cottage Grove Place from 1996 to 2001 and served as Vice President at St. Luke's Methodist Hospital from 1982 to 1996, overseeing various departmental operations. Doug holds a Master’s degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Iowa State University.
