Skokie Park District
Hathaway, as the Skatium Figure Staking Director, is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of the figure skating program and rink-wide special events at the Skokie Park District. She oversees the Learn to Skate USA skating school, hires and trains instructional staff, and ensures consistent standards in all levels of instruction. Hathaway also organizes special events such as the annual Ice Show and competitions. She coordinates logistics, including staff and volunteer management, set design, and technical requirements. Hathaway fosters relationships with user groups and develops skating opportunities for all levels of skaters.
Hathaway finds joy in skating, gardening, and taking peaceful walks during her free time. A fun and unique skill she has is driving a Zamboni! Coffee is her daily must-have, and she’s a proud fan of the Chicago Blackhawks. When it comes to music, Hathaway admires the soulful voice of Brandi Carlile.

The Skokie Park District takes pride in its ability to serve the more than 63,000 residents of Skokie, Illinois and its customers throughout Chicagoland. Whether protecting natural resources, preserving historical sites or providing thousands of unique recreational opportunities within its more than 240 acres of parkland, the district has offered a multitude of quality programs since 1928. In addition to its diverse array of programs and special events, the Skokie Park District also offers summer camps, state-licensed full-day childcare and preschool, and before- and after-school care for grades K-5. The district is a past winner of the “National Gold Medal for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management.”
