Skokie Park District
As the Aquatics & Facilities Supervisor, Bidstrup plays a pivotal role in supporting the Special Facilities Manager with the planning, implementation, and supervision of aquatic programming and operations across the District’s aquatic facilities. She is responsible for managing the day-to-day and seasonal operations of the aquatics facilities, overseeing staff recruitment, training, and evaluations. In addition to her duties related to aquatic programming, she assists with the operations of the Pooch Park and Dammrich Rowing Center and contributes to the planning and execution of the District’s Scream Scene haunted house. Bidstrup also manages water chemistry, ensures safe facility maintenance, and assists with delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining safety standards, and working with local high schools to secure swim programming times.
Bidstrup loves walking to the Dunkin’ down the street in her free time. A fun fact about her is that she used to drive a Zamboni during her college years. Coffee is her lifeline, and she’s a die-hard Blackhawks fan. Her go-to music includes the soulful songs of Noah Kahan.
