Laura Graedel Partington

Community Engagement Librarian–early Childhood at Skokie Public Library

Laura Graedel Partington serves as the Community Engagement Librarian for Early Childhood at Skokie Public Library, focusing on outreach services, early literacy initiatives, and partnerships with local health organizations. With a strong background in early childhood education and literacy programming, Laura coordinates various community programs, chairs the Early Literacy Task Force, and leads volunteer efforts in the Read To Me program. Prior experience includes roles at Skokie Public Library as an intern, a volunteer at Conrad Fischer Elementary School and Elmhurst Public Library, and over a decade as a Rights Quality Analyst at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Laura holds a Master of Science in Child Development from Erikson Institute, a Master of Information and Library Studies from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Kenyon College.
