Maria Mattsson

Maria Mattsson has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Maria started their career in 1984 as a Physical Education Teacher in Upplands-Bro Kommun, where they worked for 25 years until 2009. Their expertise in the subject led their to become an Ämnesexpert at Skolverket from 2009 to 2010. Subsequently, Maria held various roles at Svenska idrottsläraföreningen, including being the Responsible Publisher for Tidskrift Idrott o Hälsa from 2010 to 2014 and also serving as Chairman during the same period. In 2011, they worked as a Program Coordinator for Education at Wången AB for two years. Maria's involvement in the education sector continued as they served as a Government-appointed Board Representative for NCFF from 2010 to 2012. Presently, they hold a position as the Director of Education at Skolverket since 2013.

Maria Mattsson earned an Idrottslärarexamen degree from The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences between 1982 and 1984. In 2008, they completed a course called "Det goda samtalet" in communication and leadership at Ellipso AB. Also in 2008, Maria received a diploma as a certified dietary advisor in the field of nutrition and exercise from S.A.F.E. In 2012, they obtained a diploma in board work from Styrelseakademien AB. Currently, Maria is studying project management at Skolverket, with a focus on project leadership.
