David Wood

David Wood has worked at several organizations in the finance and academic fields. In 2022, they began their current position as Head of Quantitative Research at Brooklyn Investment Group. Prior to that, they were Head of Quantitative Strategies at Hum Capital from 2020-2022. From 2018-2020, they worked as a Quantitative Researcher for Quantitative Investment Strategies at Credit Suisse. From 2010-2018, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. David'sresearch assistant roles included programming and code maintaining for MTS package for R, web-scraping and NLP for lobbying contribution data, and data formatting and manuscript editing. From 2009-2010, they were a Research Fellow at the University of Chicago.

David Wood earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2007-2010. David then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2015-2017. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Financial Econometrics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2011-2018.
