Spencer Moran

Investment Engineer at Skopos Labs

Spencer Moran has worked in various roles since 2009. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Mobile Voice System Tester at BlackBerry. In 2010, they became a Test Tool Developer at BlackBerry. From 2012 to 2016, they were a Web Communications Manager at Bailey Creative Inc., where they worked on iOS development, back-end programming, Linux server administration, and front-end programming. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Lecturer at McGill University, teaching Mathematics for Education Students and Advanced Calculus for Engineers. From 2016 to 2022, they were a Quantitative Strategist and Senior Analyst at BCA Research, where they developed and maintained factor models, analyzed trends in fundamental equity factors, and implemented new UI components. Currently, they are an Investment Engineer at Brooklyn Investment Group.

Spencer Moran obtained a Bachelor's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics (Co-op program) from the University of Waterloo between 2007 and 2012. Spencer then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Applied Mathematics from McGill University, which they completed in 2015.
