Tommy Bak

Tommy Bak has extensive work experience in various leadership positions in the technology and development fields. Tommy started their career as a Radiomekaniker lærling at Bang & Olufsen in 1988 and later worked as a Software Engineer, Technical Project Manager, Technology Manager, and Senior Manager in R&D at the same company. In these roles, they managed large software projects, led teams, and worked on strategic projects. Tommy then moved on to Siemens Wind Power as a Senior Project Manager, where they played a major role in strategic projects and technology development. After that, they joined Systematic as the Director of Products Software Development, responsible for development, test activities, and product support. Tommy then worked at Grundfos as the Global Software Manager and later as the R&D Director for Software Development, responsible for software development for their entire product portfolio. Tommy joined Getinge as the Senior Director of Research and Development, overseeing the development of healthcare IT products for hospitals worldwide. Currently, they are serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at SKOV A/S and is a member of the Board of Directors at Conscensia.

Tommy Bak earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Handels og Ingeniør Højskolen i Herning, specializing in Information and Communication Technology, from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they attended Struer Erhvervs skole for a year in 1997-1998, studying Electronics Engineering. Before that, from 1988 to 1991, they attended Struer erhvervsskole, where they focused on becoming a Radiomechanic.

In addition to their formal education, Tommy Bak has obtained several certifications, including "Enterprise Agile: Disciplined Agile (DA) versus Spotify" and "Succeeding in DevOps" from LinkedIn in July 2020, as well as "Lean Technology Strategy: Running Agile at Scale" from LinkedIn in May 2020.
