Michel Fernández has a long and varied work experience. From 2001 to 2008, they were an Art Director at Michel Fernandez, Visuelle Gestaltung, and then an UX-Director at Eyekon AG from 2008 to 2009. Michel then worked as an UX-Director at Hinderling Volkart AG from 2009 to 2013, and as a Senior UX-Strategist & Director at their own company from 2013 to 2017. From 2017 to 2018, they were a UX-Researcher & Spatial-Designer at Impact Hub Zürich, and from 2018 to 2022 they were a Co-Founder & Partner and Head of UX-Design & -Research at Skribble. Additionally, from 2015 to 2016 they were a Creator and lecturer at Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW, and from 2016 to 2017 they were a Guest lecturer at Hochschule Luzern. Michel is currently a Senior Spatial- & UX-Designer at Impact Hub Zürich, and an Ehrenamtliche Soziale Arbeit at Gemeinschaftszentrum.
Michel Fernández completed an Advanced Master of Cultural / Gender Studies, FH – Diplom from ZHdK Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in 2007. Prior to that, they completed an Executive Master in Cultural & Gender Studies, FH-Diplom from the same institution in 2005. In 2001, they earned a Dipl. Multimedia Producer from SAE Institute of Technology - Zürich. Michel also earned a Kaufmann im Bereich Treuhand, Eidg. Fähigkeitsausweis from KV Business School Zürich in 1997.
