Before joining GE Power, Kurt worked as a Technical Leader at Plug Power and as a Design Engineer at GE Power. Kurt'swork experience spans from 1993 to the present.
Kurt Laurer has a strong educational background in engineering and physics. Kurt obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from SUNY Geneseo in 1991. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, which they completed in 1993. Kurt then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, completing their studies in 1996. More recently, in 2018, they attended Duke University's FUQUA School of Business for a financial analysis program.
