Uma R. has a strong and diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Uma is currently working as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Product & Operations at Skuad. Prior to that, they held the position of Deputy General Manager of Technical Program Delivery at Pearson India from 2018 to 2022. Uma'sresponsibilities included managing technical program delivery for Pearson's marketing cloud platform and acting as the business analysis function lead. Uma also served as the India Technology Business Partner, collaborating with business and technology teams to translate requirements into engineering deliverables. Uma also worked closely with product, sales, and service delivery teams to improve operational efficiency and ensure value delivery.

Uma's previous roles include General Manager of Product Management at IndiQube from 2017 to 2018, Senior Manager of Technical Program Delivery at Pearson India Education Services Private Limited from 2014 to 2017, and Founding Member at PurpleLeap from 2007 to 2014. At PurpleLeap, they played a crucial role in launching the PurpleLeap Learning Portal and managing requirements. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Associate at Cognizant Technology Solutions from 2002 to 2006, where they demonstrated technical expertise and coordination skills.

Throughout their career, Uma has shown a commitment to advocating for Women in Technology and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM.

Uma R. completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Mepco Schlenk Engineering College from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they attended Holy Cross Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School from 1991 to 1998 and St. Thomas Matriculation Higher Secondary School from 1985 to 1991. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Certified Usability Analyst from Human Factors International in 2015, Certified Internal Auditor of Quality Management System ISO 9001-2008 from Nathan & Nathan Consultants Pvt. Ltd. in 2011, Sun Certified Web Component Developer in 2008, Microsoft Certified SQL Server Programmer in 2005, Sun Certified Java Programmer in 2005, and Microsoft Certified VB.NET developer in Windows platform in 2004.
