Hilde Søbstad Løvskar has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Hilde Søbstad started their career in 2007 as a Customer Service Centre representative at Barwil Unitor (Wilh. Wilhelmsen). Hilde Søbstad then worked as a Substitute Teacher at Smestad skole and later as a Prison Officer at Ullersmo fengsel in 2008. In 2009, Hilde joined Assuranceforeningen SKULD as a Claims Assistant. Hilde Søbstad then progressed within the company and joined Skuld in 2010 as a Maritime Trainee. Over the years, they have taken on different roles at Skuld, including Corporate Legal Counsel and currently serves as the Chief Legal Officer since March 2019.

Hilde Søbstad Løvskar completed their Master's degree in Law at the University of Oslo from 2004 to 2010. In addition, they obtained another Master's degree in Maritime Law from Aix-Marseille University from 2008 to 2009. Hilde Søbstad also holds several certifications from the International Group of P&I Clubs, including qualifications in collision, FFO and pollution risks, towage, salvage, GA and wreck removal, underwriting, loss prevention and claims management, people risks, cargo risks, P&I insurance, history, operation and practice, and the marine insurance business. Hilde Søbstad received their qualification as a lawyer (advokatbevilling) from Tilsynsrådet for advokatvirksomhet in 2014.
