Matthew Thurston has a diverse work history that spans various industries. Matthew'smost recent role is as a Senior Technical Artist at Sky Castle Studios since June 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a 3D Character Artist on a freelance/contract basis at Motion Logic Studios from March 2019 to June 2019, and at Ironklad Studios from May 2018 to March 2019. Matthew also worked remotely as a 3D Character Artist at Novo Reality from December 2018 to February 2019.
Before transitioning to the field of art, Matthew gained experience in other areas. Matthew worked at Delta Air Lines from November 2014 to August 2016 as part of the Below Wing Ready Reserve, where they ensured the safe and timely arrival and departure of flights. Matthew also worked at APAC Customer Services from July 2013 to August 2014 as a Technical Support Representative, where they assisted teachers and technicians with software issues.
Additionally, Matthew had roles at Clarkson University, where they served as a Teaching Assistant from January 2013 to May 2013, and as a C.E.C Lab Monitor from January 2012 to May 2013. Matthew started their career at Lowe's Home Improvement as a Customer Service Associate from March 2009 to August 2012.

Matthew Thurston completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Clarkson University between 2009 and 2013. Matthew then pursued their Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) degree in Game Design - 3D Modeling at the Academy of Art University from 2014 to 2017. Following this, Matthew earned a Master's degree in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects from the Academy of Art University from 2017 to 2018.
