Peter Blasco has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Peter is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Sky Castle Studios. Prior to this, they were a Senior Full Stack Engineer at The New York Times, where they played a key role in data engineering and integration projects. Peter also built various features using React, GraphQL, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, and PHP.
Before joining The New York Times, Peter worked at Healthcare IQ as a Lead Software Engineer, responsible for building a new healthcare analytics platform. Peter also led the front-end development team and played a role in architecting the data analytics platform using Node.js, MongoDB, Apache Spark, and Kafka. In addition, they helped establish a new team at a satellite office and promoted engineering best practices.
Peter has also enriched their experience as a Senior Software Engineer at SoCreate, where they worked briefly, and as a Software Engineer at Scientific Drilling. During their time at Scientific Drilling, they worked on a full-stack development project using ASP.NET, C#, and JavaScript, focusing on improving the UI. Peter also contributed to the development of a central processing and storage server, DataModel.
Peter's early career includes roles as a Contract Software Engineer at Light Manufacturing, where they reworked a Python application, and as a Software Engineer at SRI International. At SRI International, they served as the primary software engineer for projects such as BOLT and Orion, where they worked on Java-based software architecture and development.
Their work experience dates back to 2004 when Peter started as a Student Developer at CADRC.
