Following this, from 2006 to 2009, they attended ROC Aventus Deventer where they pursued a degree in ICT-beheer / ICT-beheerder as part of the MBO program.

In 2009, Michiel enrolled at Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) to pursue a Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology with a specialization in Business IT & Management. Michiel successfully completed this program in 2014, obtaining their bachelor's degree.

In terms of additional certifications, Michiel earned their Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology from Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) in February 2014. Michiel went on to acquire the Clang Certified Professional certification from e-Village in October 2018. In May 2019, Michiel obtained a certification in Marketing Intelligence for Marketers from Beeckestijn Business School. Additionally, they obtained certification in Google Analytics from Google in March 2015.
