Ray Gibson

Vice President of Engineering, North America at Skyfii

Ray Gibson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ray currently serves as the Vice President of Engineering, North America at Skyfii, where they played a pivotal role in integrating CrowdVision analytics into the Skyfii IO platform. Ray collaborates with a global team to advance analytics technologies for clients.

Before joining Skyfii, Ray held the position of Adjunct Faculty at Cypress College since 2007. Ray taught Sound Design for Theatre, worked as a Sound Designer for various theater shows, and mentored students interested in sound and audio.

Prior to this, Ray worked at CrowdVision as the Vice President of Engineering after their acquisition of iinside in 2020. Ray focused on LiDAR product development and integration and worked towards consolidating the analytics product across teams in North America and Europe.

As the Vice President of Engineering at iinside, Ray led a team of software engineers and contractors and delivered indoor motion analytics for airports and smart city applications. Ray designed solutions, supported sales efforts, and utilized Machine Learning and LiDAR technologies extensively.

Before iinside, Ray contributed to Future Concepts IS Inc. as an IT Manager. In this role, they played a key role in designing and maintaining a complex mesh network for First Responders. Ray also oversaw the transition from dedicated server hardware to virtualized environments and facilitated a cloud migration path to AWS.

Ray's work experience also includes owning and working as a Business Analyst at Miracle Geeks, Inc. Ray provided IT consulting services for small to medium-sized businesses, analyzing existing environments and proposing innovative solutions across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
