Jessica Melkerson

Jessica Melkerson has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Jessica is currently the Director of Business Operations at Skylight, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director of Ontario at Skylight from July 2021 to November 2022, and the Associate Director of Ontario from September 2019 to July 2021.

Before joining Skylight, Jessica worked at Spring Studios where they held various positions. Jessica started as an Event Coordinator in February 2014 and worked their way up to become a Senior Event Producer in August 2017. Their responsibilities included overseeing event execution, managing on-site teams, and handling multiple event projects and budgets.

Jessica also has experience in branding and public relations. Jessica worked as a Branding and Public Relations Associate at INTELLIGENCE LA from May 2014 to February 2015, where they assisted in the launch of Paper Chase Press' series Paper Cuts and conducted competitor and market analyses for clients.

In addition, Jessica gained industry experience as a Public Relations Intern at EXPRESS from February 2014 to May 2014, where they assisted with showroom management and organization.

Furthermore, Jessica has entrepreneurial experience as a Co-Founder of MyUniUni, where they were involved in all start-up aspects including creating a business plan, collaborating with the head designer, and managing the online retail store.

Overall, Jessica Melkerson has demonstrated their skills in business operations, event production, branding, and public relations through their diverse work experience.

Jessica Melkerson completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing with a minor in Management at Concordia University from 2009 to 2012. Jessica later pursued a Master of Science degree in Strategic Design and Management at Parsons School of Design - The New School from 2013 to 2015.
