Sarah Tress

Sarah Tress is a skilled Product Designer currently working at Skylight, a digital consultancy focused on enhancing public services for government agencies. As the Executive Director and Founder of Loop Cushion, a nonprofit organization, Sarah has developed a low-cost inflatable wheelchair seat cushion using sustainable materials. Previous experience includes a role as a Graphic Designer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Sarah designed mechanical figures, and various research positions at MIT and other organizations, focusing on assistive technologies for wheelchair users and biomedical engineering projects. Sarah holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
