Hila Vardi has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of robotics. Hila started their career at EPFL as a Teaching Assistant from September 2017 to July 2021. At Carevature Robotics, they gained valuable experience as an R&D Robotics Engineer, where they adapted an industrial robotic arm into a surgical robotic system and developed algorithms for teleoperation and intuitive control. Hila also worked on integrating a collaborative robotic arm for surgical procedures and implemented motion control and kinematic algorithms. Additionally, they conducted a Master Thesis project focused on bone-soft tissue differentiation for robotic surgery. Currently, they hold the position of a Robotics V&V Engineer at Skyline Robotics.
Hila Vardi has a well-rounded education history, with a focus on engineering and robotics. From 2019 to 2022, they pursued a Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering with a Medical Orientation at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Micro-engineering at the same institution from 2016 to 2019.
In 2018, Hila Vardi attended the ETML, Technical-training school of Lausanne, where they received training in Mechanical Construction. Additionally, they hold a Teaching Assistant Training certification obtained in September 2018 from the Teaching Support Centre at EPFL.
Before their university studies, Hila Vardi completed their Bilingual International Baccalaureate at St. George's school from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned an IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) at St. George's School in Switzerland from 2010 to 2013.
Overall, Hila Vardi's educational journey demonstrates a strong dedication to engineering and robotics, complemented by training in mechanical construction and teaching.
