Nancy Selman

VP, Business Development at SKYRE, Inc.

Nancy Selman has an extensive work experience in various companies and roles. Nancy started their career as the Manager of Acquisitions at Consolidated Hydro, Inc., where they played a key role in identifying and executing the acquisition of hydroelectric projects. Nancy also coordinated multi-disciplinary teams and participated in the closing of $36 million worth of hydroelectric project acquisitions.

In 1997, Nancy established their own consulting firm, Energy & Environmental Ventures, where they served as Principal. In this role, they provided advisory services to clients in clean energy markets, developed market and funding strategies for early-stage companies, and offered project development services to companies working on renewable energy projects.

In 2006, Nancy joined Innovation Fuels, Inc. as the Vice President of Business Development. Here, they developed the strategic plan for the startup biodiesel producer and trader, resulting in a capitalization of $15 million. Nancy also evaluated sites for biodiesel production plants.

From 2012, Nancy worked as the VP of Business Development at Sustainable Innovations, LLC. In this position, they led all aspects of business development, raising nearly $4 million in R&D funding. Nancy also played a crucial role in commercializing electrochemical technology for hydrogen separation/compression, grid-scale energy storage (flow battery), and CO2 conversion to chemicals and fuels. Their responsibilities included market research, defining product specifications, cost modeling, branding, and identifying customers in the metals heat treating industry.

Most recently, Nancy joined Skyre, Inc. as the VP of Business Development in 2018. Additional information about their role at this company was not provided.

Nancy Selman completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia. Nancy then pursued a Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance from The George Washington University, which they completed from 1980 to 1985. Nancy Selman later returned to The George Washington University School of Business to further focus on Finance and Investments, obtaining another MBA.
