Systems Engineering Lead at Skyryse

Ilan Paz has over thirty years of professional experience in the aerospace and defense industries. Ilan began their career in 1983 at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems as an R&D Engineer, Head of Hardware Group, and Senior Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for defining, designing, and testing integrated inertial sensor systems hardware and software. Ilan then moved to BAE Systems in 1998, where they served as a Senior Systems Engineer, Systems Engineering Manager, and Chief Engineer, creating and leading the Systems Analysis Group. In 2006, they joined Curtiss-Wright Controls as a Technical Fellow and Lead Engineer and Sensing Technologies Technical Product Manager (TPM). Here, they were an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Technical Lead on several VPX based products and led a redesign of an Ethernet switch. In 2015, they began working at Crane Aerospace & Electronics as a Senior System Simulation Engineer, where they were responsible for high fidelity Matlab/Simulink modeling, simulation, and analysis of aircraft hydraulic brake control systems. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Skyryse as a Systems Engineering Lead, where they worked on system sensors interface design and analysis, with emphasis on GPS and inertial sensors.

Ilan Paz holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
