Kyle Szombathy

Kyle Szombathy has extensive work experience in software engineering roles. In 2016, they started as a Software Engineer Intern at VSP Vision Care, where they worked on an agile team supporting VSP's call center and implemented testing frameworks for PDF files and JavaScript functionalities.

From 2017 to 2018, Kyle worked as an Internal Systems Software Engineer at Riskalyze, where they developed a PHP back-end service integrated with Zuora billing. Kyle also championed the implementation of a React and TypeScript service for internal and support projects and designed a batch processing system for analyzing financial portfolio information.

In 2019, Kyle joined SkySlope as a Software Engineer I, working on the Startsafe Digital Opening Package product. Kyle'sresponsibilities included full stack development and utilizing technologies like React and mobx.

At SkySlope, they progressed to the role of Software Engineer II in 2019, where they architectured and developed major features and enhancements for the Forms product. Kyle also created a highly performant PDF editing experience for bulk data entry in forms.

In 2021, Kyle became the Tech Lead and Software Engineer III for SkySlope's Forms product, where they scaled the product to over 90k customers. Kyle'srole involved full stack development and utilizing technologies like React, Redux, TypeScript, .NET Core REST APIs, and various databases.

In 2022, Kyle briefly worked as a Software Engineer at Electronic Arts (EA) before returning to SkySlope as a Senior Software Engineer.

Kyle Szombathy received a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from California State University-Sacramento from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Sierra College from 2011 to 2014, where they studied Computer Science.
