Laurent VIDAL is an accomplished sales executive with extensive experience in the technology and financial services sectors. As Vice-President Sales South EMEA Global at SkySQL since December 2024, Laurent leads initiatives for delivering managed MariaDB solutions. Previous roles include serving as Regional Sales Director EMEA at MariaDB Corporation during its pre-IPO phase and as Country Director and Regional Sales Director for Southern EMEA at MarkLogic, where Laurent successfully expanded the team and defined key vertical sectors. Additional experience includes strategic sales management at TIBCO Spotfire, Progress Software, Software AG, NextiraOne, and BMC Software, contributing to significant revenue growth and account development for major financial institutions. Laurent holds a Ph.D. in International Business & Management and an MBA in International Business & Economic from GM University, alongside various corporate training certifications.
