Slabtown Studios is a Los Angeles–based production and entertainment company founded by award-winning filmmakers Julian Mercado Avila and Darien Jewel. Driven by a love for storytelling and a deep respect for family, community, and human connection, Slabtown creates work that resonates on a personal level.

With a modern, tech-savvy approach, they’ve built a nimble production model that keeps things efficient and cost-effective. From pitch decks and production to post, marketing, and distribution, most of the process happens in-house, allowing for more creativity and control.

At its heart, Slabtown is about stories that matter. Stories about love, memory, resilience, and the ties that hold us together.
