Saleem Malkana

Saleem Malkana is the Head of Product Growth at Slack since January 2024, focusing on connecting customers to the value of Slack and its Generative AI features. Previously, Saleem served as a Generative AI Product Consultant at Insight Partners and Chief Product Officer at Paper Plane Ventures, emphasizing Product Led Growth strategies. With extensive experience as an Executive in Residence at Reforge, Saleem led programs on product strategy and growth for senior product leaders. Earlier roles include VP Product, Design, and Research at NBC News, where a team was built to drive significant revenue, and VP Product and Growth at Shudder, scaling the business substantially. Saleem's career began at Amazon as a Senior Product Manager and includes a background in enterprise SaaS with NovoPath, Inc., and a role as a Space Systems Project Engineer at the Central Intelligence Agency. Saleem holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA in Strategy and General Management from the University of Michigan.
