Yan Gobeil

Yan Gobeil is an accomplished AI team leader at Décathlon Canada, overseeing a team of approximately 10 members, including data scientists and AI engineers, while managing HR responsibilities and providing technical support. Previously, Yan worked as a data scientist and AI engineer, enhancing ETL pipelines and managing university interns. Yan's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from Université de Montréal, followed by a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from McGill University, both with a perfect GPA. Earlier experiences also include research internships focused on false vacuum decay, two scientific publications, and roles as a teaching assistant at both Université de Montréal and McGill University. Recently, Yan has taken on the role of ML Architect at Slalom Build, working on machine learning projects in the private energy sector.
