Diego Villegas

Co-Founder & CEO at Slang

Diego Villegas is the Co-Founder and CEO of Slang. Diego was previously a member of the MIT Sloan Fellows Program in Innovation and Global Leadership, where they obtained their MBA. Prior to that, they were the Executive Vice President for Corporate Development at Stork (formerly MASA). Diego was also a member of the company's Board of Directors. Diego founded MASA in 1993 and served as its CEO until 2007 when it was acquired by Stork B.V. Under their leadership, MASA became a leading provider of Technical Services in the region with profitable and outstanding organic growth during the last 18 years (CAGR 34%) and 5,000+ employees.

Diego Villegas has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the MIT Sloan School of Management with a focus in entrepreneurship and technology. Diego also has a Launching New Ventures Program certificate from Harvard Business School in entrepreneurship. In addition, they have a Project Management Executive Course certificate from the University of Cambridge. Diego has a Master of Science (MS) in industrial engineering from Universidad de Los Andes and a postgraduate degree in finance from the same school. Finally, they have a Bachelor of Science (BS) in industrial engineering and a second diploma in physics from Universidad de Los Andes.
