Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a background in developing collaborative solutions in educational technology. Since July 2010, Chris has worked at SMART Technologies, contributing as both an Electrical Engineer and Firmware Engineer, focusing on hardware and firmware development for Digital Vision Touch interactive whiteboards and associated educational devices. Prior to this role, Chris served as an Electronics Contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing educational electronics, and worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting engineering labs. Earlier experience includes working as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, where Chris developed control systems for the forestry industry. Chris holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
