Iqra Shafique

Iqra Shafique has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Iqra is currently working at SlashNext as a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer, where they started in August 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Software Quality Assurance Engineer at the same company.

Before joining SlashNext, Iqra worked at Kordinator by mHealthCoach as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer from October 2020 to August 2021. Here, they were responsible for various automation tasks using technologies such as Selenium, Maven, and TestNG. Iqra also had experience with Python and Robot Framework. Iqra demonstrated strong knowledge of QA processes and the testing industry, and they excelled in automating web application testing using Selenium WebDriver with the TestNG framework.

In 2019, Iqra briefly worked as a .NET Developer at United We REACH. The following year, they joined Generic Planet IT Training Academy as an ASP.NET MVC developer. Here, they gained experience in developing web applications using ASP.NET MVC.

In 2018, Iqra worked as a Research Fellow at the Center for Language Engineering. Iqra'sresponsibilities included working on automation speech recognition and text summarization projects for Urdu, Punjabi, and Sindhi languages. Iqra also collected and annotated text, speech, and image corpora for research purposes.

Earlier in their career, Iqra worked as a Teacher at Laurelbank from October 2015 to October 2017, where they contributed to the education sector. Iqra also gained practical industry experience through an internship at PEL in 2013.

Iqra Shafique completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Lahore College for Women University between 2010 and 2014. Iqra then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, they conducted a comparative study of different operating systems in cloud computing and obtained a "Review Paper" degree from the same university. Aside from their academic achievements, Iqra Shafique obtained certifications in "selenium Web automation" from Meet Ahsan in July 2022 and was a robot competitor at robosprint '13 in September 2014.
