Andrei Popov

Andrei Popov is a highly experienced geologist with a robust background in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a geologist at Schlumberger since April 2022, Andrei is responsible for the development and implementation of the Field Development Plan for a significant tight sand project in West Siberia. Prior experience includes a role as a geoscientist at Rosneft from July 2015 to April 2022, where Andrei conducted regional play evaluations of Arctic areas and generated leads at both basin and prospect scales. At CGG, from September 2010 to July 2015, Andrei led a multidisciplinary team on 3D seismic inversion projects after initially contributing as a geologist. Andrei began the professional journey as a junior geologist at PetroAlliance Services Company Limited from February 2008 to July 2010, developing foundational skills in seismic interpretation. With a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Geology and Geochemistry of Fossil Fuels from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Andrei possesses a strong academic background to complement hands-on experience.
