Wilson Bonner

Senior Project Geologist at KoBold Metals

Wilson is an exploration geologist with experience in both junior and major gold companies in Nevada. He uses a wide variety of techniques to explore incorporating traditional field mapping, geochronology, trace element and isotope geochemistry, geophysics, and downhole structural analysis. He has managed, designed, and implemented drill projects on both greenfield and brownfield programs including the discovery of the 1.2 Moz Helen-Gap gold deposit for Premier Gold Mines in 2014-2017. He most recently worked for Barrick Gold Corporation (Nevada Gold Mines) as a member of the Carlin Trend exploration group. His graduate work used microscopy, geochronology, and other methods to investigate the time-space relationships between polymetallic mineralization and Carlin-style gold at the Cove Au-Ag deposit in Lander County, NV.

Wilson has a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN and a M.Sc. in Geology from the University of Nevada, Reno.
