Andy West

Andy West has extensive experience in the chemical engineering and production chemistry sectors, currently serving as Area Manager for WA/NT at SLB since July 2025. Prior to this role, Andy worked at ChampionX in various positions, including Area Manager - West and Senior Account Manager, where responsibilities included managing contracts and providing production chemistry support for Woodside Energy. Earlier experience at Ecolab involved roles such as Quality and TPM Manager and Plant Superintendent, overseeing continuous improvement initiatives and plant operations. Academic accomplishments include a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Sydney, where research focused on polymerization kinetics and earning the George Harris Scholarship for excellence in research and teaching. Andy also holds a Graduate Certificate in Chemical Engineering from Curtin University and a BSc. (Hons.) in Applied Chemistry from the University of Leeds.
