Bethany Carter is an experienced Chemical Engineer currently serving as an Industry Technical Consultant at SLB since November 2022, and previously held roles as Lead Chemical Engineer at Nalco Champion and ChampionX. With expertise in crude oil demulsification, Bethany led significant projects at Ecolab, including the development of Block Whitener and MARKETGUARD™ products for the food retail industry. A Ph.D. candidate at Clemson University from 2009 to 2015, Bethany specialized in the synthesis of renewable aromatic chemicals and fuels from biomass-derived lignin. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Appalachian State University.
