Cynthia Klein

Cynthia Klein has extensive experience in technical communications, particularly within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Technical Communications Manager for SIS Training at Schlumberger since December 1999, Cynthia manages the development of training materials, implements DITA/XML for documentation, and oversees the training helpdesk while participating in various advisory boards. Prior roles at Schlumberger include Lead Technical Communicator and Senior Technical Writer, where responsibilities encompassed editing training manuals and supporting training initiatives. Previous experience includes technical writing positions at Western Atlas and Core Laboratories, where Cynthia authored and produced a wide array of technical documents and established effective production systems. Cynthia holds a B.S. in Geology from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in English from Duke University, along with earlier studies at Smith College.
