John Whyte

John Whyte is an accomplished data scientist at Schlumberger, where since September 2007, significant contributions have been made to major data science and automation initiatives, including the creation of a digital twin for complex fluid systems to enhance drilling optimization. John has also served as a Domain Champion for Well Construction Fluids, leading digital transformation efforts through analysis and modeling of operational performance, employing advanced data workflows and machine learning techniques. Prior experience includes roles as a Technical Service Engineer and PressPro RT Operator, focusing on client solutions for drilling optimization, as well as extensive drilling experience in various regions. Earlier, John held the position of Research Scientist at Johnson & Johnson, specializing in medical devices and diagnostics. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, both obtained from the University of Aberdeen.
