Senior VFX Artist at Sledgehammer Games

Cal Sear's work experience is as follows:

1. Sledgehammer Games (2022 - Present): Cal has been working as a Senior VFX Artist at Sledgehammer Games. Cal has worked on live season support for Call of Duty: Vanguard, specifically creating VFX for weapons in the Godzilla vs Kong tie-in "Tracer Pack: Kong Bundle".

2. Playground Games (2018 - 2022): Cal started as a VFX Artist (Grade II) and later became a Senior VFX Artist at Playground Games. Their main achievement was working on Forza Horizon 5, where they integrated a new particle editor called PopcornFX. Cal redesigned the core tire kick-up system for a more realistic behavior and worked on various environment and interaction VFX. Cal also worked on the Fortune Island expansion pack, creating a weather effect of lightning, and the LEGO Speed Champions expansion pack.

3. TT Games Ltd (2015 - 2018): Cal started as a VFX Assistant and later became a Junior and VFX Artist at TT Games Ltd. Cal worked on projects like LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, LEGO Worlds, and LEGO Dimensions Year 2. Cal was responsible for creating various effects, optimizing cross-generational assets, and leading improvements in art, tools, and processes.

4. Paul Windle Design and Creative Art Studio (2014): Cal worked as a 3D Artist for three weeks at Paul Windle Design and Creative Art Studio. Cal created 3D visualizations, lit and rendered 3D models, and helped establish an art style for an upcoming game.
