Dan Kendall has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of multimedia and video production. Dan started their career as a Production Assistant and Set Builder at Moxie Film Productions in 2006. Subsequently, in 2007, they worked as an Intern and Volunteer at Pacifica Community Television and as a Fourth Assistant Director at Inroad Films, LLC.
In 2007, Dan became the Director of Photography and Senior Video Editor at Rapid Remodel TV, where they led the production crew in documenting various construction projects. Dan also finalized editing of footage from previous builds for airing on Comcast On Demand. Following this, they joined BizVideosOnline.com as a Senior Video Editor, Web Designer, and Production Manager. In this role, they helped establish the business and developed the trademark style for their videos.
From 2008 to 2010, Dan worked at Cision as a Creative Services Specialist and later as a Production Technician. Dan created sizzle videos for clients such as Sony, Virgin Atlantic, and UGG Boots, incorporating motion graphics and unique effects. Dan also communicated with clients and the sales team to ensure project progress. During their time at Cision, they consistently edited videos within tight deadlines and introduced new software and editing techniques to enhance efficiency and quality. Dan also trained new editors joining the team.
In 2011, Dan freelanced as a Video Editor for Ubisoft before joining Sledgehammer Games in 2013. At Sledgehammer Games, Dan served as a Multimedia Specialist, leading to their promotion as a Multimedia Lead in 2019. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Associate Director of Cinematics at the company.
Outside of their full-time positions, Dan has also worked as a Freelance Wedding Videographer and Editor from 2007 to 2016.
Throughout their career, Dan Kendall has demonstrated their expertise in video editing, motion graphics, project management, and creative direction across various industries and companies.
Dan Kendall earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Digital Media from the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 2003 to 2007. Later, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Animation and Visual Effects from the Academy of Art University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016.
