Kris Zimmer

MP Gameplay Engineering Lead at Sledgehammer Games

Kris Zimmer has a strong background in gameplay engineering and software development. They started their career at Lockheed Martin in 2006, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer. At Lockheed Martin, they were responsible for leading a small team in the development of a rendering engine for military simulation. They also mentored junior engineers and collaborated with artists and modelers to ensure the quality and efficiency of assets.

In 2013, Kris joined Electronic Arts as a Gameplay Software Engineer, where they worked until 2016. They then moved to Wargaming Seattle, where they held the position of Gameplay Software Engineer for two years. In 2018, Kris joined Cat Daddy Games as a Senior Gameplay Software Engineer for a year.

Currently, Kris is employed at Sledgehammer Games, where they started in 2019 as a Senior Gameplay Engineer and later transitioned to the role of MP Gameplay Engineering Lead in June 2022. However, the end date for their current position is unknown.

Throughout their career, Kris has demonstrated expertise in developing rendering technologies, implementing physics systems, and leading teams.

Kris Zimmer attended the University of Central Florida from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.
