Sam Howels has a diverse and extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Sam started their career as a Community Representative at Crytek Frankfurt in 2009 before moving on to various design roles at Crytek UK from 2011 to 2014. Sam then joined Deep Silver Dambuster Studios as a Senior and Principal Designer from 2014 to 2016. In 2017, they became a Senior Designer at Sledgehammer Games, where they worked until 2020. Sam then advanced to the position of Expert Designer until 2022, when they were promoted to Lead Designer. In addition to their game design work, Sam briefly served as a Design Instructor at the Academy of Art University in 2021.
Sam Howels attended The Judd School from 2003 to 2009. During this time, they studied subjects such as English, Design/Technology, and Geography.
