When you have ten employees, and everyone's already doing three jobs, that assumption falls apart pretty fast. You end up working around the parts that don't fit, maintaining a spreadsheet alongside the system to track what it can't handle, and paying for features nobody uses while going without things you actually need.

Sledgehammer Infosystems works with small businesses and nonprofits in west-central Indiana who are stuck in that gap. We build custom software, design and host websites, provide IT support, consult on technology and process, and audit websites for accessibility problems.

The common thread is that we start from what's actually happening — not what the process is supposed to look like on paper, but what people are really doing, where things are getting dropped, and what broken workaround has quietly become the real process.
