Cybil Lawson

Cybil Lawson has a diverse range of work experience in the field of talent management and recruitment. Cybil began their career as a Recruiter at Quantum Management Services Ltd. in 2002, before moving on to work as a Recruitment Consultant at RBC from 2003 to 2007. Lawson then joined RIM (BlackBerry) in 2007, where they held various roles including Recruitment and Team Lead in Candidate Care. Cybil worked closely with business unit leaders, provided recruitment support across North America, and managed a team of Candidate Care Coordinators. In 2011, Lawson transitioned to Target as a Staffing Lead, before joining Sleeman Breweries Ltd. in 2013. At Sleeman Breweries, they held positions such as Talent Management Specialist, National Talent Acquisition Manager, and ultimately National Manager of Talent Management and Communication. Lawson has demonstrated expertise in sourcing and attracting talent, managing recruitment processes, and developing strong relationships with external partners.

Cybil Lawson completed their Bachelors Degree at the University of Waterloo in 1998. Cybil then pursued a Human Resources Diploma at Conestoga College, which they completed in 2008. Currently, Cybil is working towards obtaining an Adult Education Certificate from Conestoga College, with their studies expected to be completed in 2020.
